Harrison House is a fully renovated, historic home full of new appointments. You’ll be staying in one of the oldest homes on the east side of Savannah! Originally built for Mr. William T. Harrison in 1875, our home was lovingly restored by George, an award-winning historic preservationist.
Harrison House has 4 bedrooms (one is a converted trunk room) all with high-end, quality mattresses. No inconvenience of a pull-out sofa, cot or air mattress like many other listings. The home has a fully equipped kitchen. Also a full-size washer/dryer is conveniently located upstairs on the same floor with the bedrooms.
The Victorian District was named among the Top Ten Neighborhoods in the US by the American Planning Association. Our neighborhood is also within the up-and-coming SOFO district (South of Forsyth Park) thanks to the growing number of trendy bars, restaurants and shops locating to this transitional neighborhood. Some not used to Savannah’s demographics may be out of their element, but we think the demographics of Savannah make it what it is: diversity, great food and wonderful cultural festivals…
Big and beautiful Forsyth Park, only a couple blocks away, features Savannah’s best Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning, as well as regular festivals, sports, and musical performances. This 30 acre park is the biggest in Savannah’s historic district.
Brighter Day, our time-honored neighborhood natural food store & Kroger, a full service grocery store, as well as the eternally-happening Sentient Bean coffee shop and La Chai wine bar are within easy walking distance, as is all that downtown Savannah offers! Stay on our meter-free street and enjoy the flavor of our historic, up and coming neighborhood, while taking strolls in romantic Forsyth Park. Within just a few minutes’ walk- you’re on the free shuttle that takes you throughout downtown. And don’t leave town without experiencing the fun of taking a PediCab out to dinner.
